INDIAN AIR FORCE INVITES MEN AND WOMEN TO JOIN THE INDIAN AIR FORCE AS COMMISSIONED OFFICERS IN METEOROLOGY BRANCH.
REGISTRATION FOR ONLINE APPLICATIONS WILL OPEN ON 21 JAN 17
AND CLOSE ON 17 FEB 17.
Online applications are invited for the courses commencing in January 2018 for grant of Permanent Commission (PC) / Short Service Commission (SSC) in Ground Duty (Non-technical) Branch.
QUALIFICATIONS; Post Graduate Degree in any Science with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all papers put together (Provided Maths and Physics were studied at Graduation Level with a minimum of 55% marks in both).
AGE; 20 to 26 years as on01 Jan 18 i.e. Born between 02 Jan 92 to 01 Jan 98(both dates inclusive).
TYPE OF COMMISSION.
PC for Men. Candidates joining as PC officers would continue to serve till the age of superannuation.
SSC for Men & Women. The initial tenure for SSC officers in Ground Duty (Non-tech)
Branch would be for a period of ten years. An extension of four years may be granted subject to willingness, suitability,service requirements and availability of vacancies.
Training is scheduled to commence in the first week of January 2018. Duration of training for Ground Duty (Non-technical) Branch is 52 weeks at Air Force Academy.
