Staff Nurse (Male/Female) Examination 2017
No. of Vacancies:- Presently, the no. of vacancies for the post of Staff Nurse (Male) is 448
and for the post of Staff Nurse (Female) is 3390
in Medical Education and Training Deptt. U.P. and Medical and Health services Deptt, U.P. Post .
AGE LIMIT: (i) Candidates must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have crossed the
age of 40 years on July 1, 2017 i.e. they must have not been born earlier than 2 July, 1977 and not nd
later than July 1, 1996
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: (1) A candidate for direct recruitment to the post of Staff
Nurse (Female) must - (i) have passed High School Examination with Science and passed
Intermediate Examination of the Board of High School and Intermediate Education, Uttar Pradesh or
an Examination recognised by the Government as equivalent thereto. possess diploma in (ii)
General Nursing and Midwifery or B.Sc. Degree in Nursing registrable with the U.P. Nurses and
Midwives Council. possess registration certi (iii) #cate as Nurse and Midwife from the Uttar Pradesh
Nurses and Midwives Council. (2) A candidate for direct recruitment to the post of Staff Nurse
(Male) must - (i) Have passed High School Examination with Science and passed Intermediate
Examination of the Board of High School and Intermediate Education, Uttar Pradesh or an
Examination recognised by the Government as equivalent thereto. Possess diploma in General (ii)
Nursing and Midwifery or B.Sc Degree in Nursing registrable with the U.P. Nurses and Midwives
Council. Possess diploma in Psychiatry registrable with the U.P. Nurses and Midwives Council. (iii)
(iv) possess registration certi#cate from U.P. Nurses and Midwives Council as Nurse and Psychiatry.
(3) Selection shall carry one hundred marks.

Council. Possess diploma in Psychiatry registrable with the U.P. Nurses and Midwives Council. (iii)
(iv) possess registration certi#cate from U.P. Nurses and Midwives Council as Nurse and Psychiatry.
(3) Selection shall carry one hundred marks.
Temporary but likely to be continued, Pay Scale Rs. 9300-34800,
Grade Pay Rs. 4600/-, Non-Gazetted, Group 'B'.
Application Fee: In the ON-LINE Application process, after completing the procedure of #rst
stage, Category wise prescribed examination fee is to be deposited as per instructions provided in
second stage. The prescribed fee of examination for different categories is as under:-
1. Unreserved (General) - Exam fee Rs. 100/- + On-line processing fee Rs. 25/- Total = Rs. 125/-
2. Other Backward Class - Exam fee Rs. 100/- + On-line processing fee Rs. 25/- Total = Rs. 125/-
3.Scheduled Caste - Exam fee Rs. 40/- + On-line processing fee Rs. 25/- Total = Rs. 65/-
4.Scheduled Tribe - Exam fee Rs. 40/- + On-line processing fee Rs. 25/- Total = Rs. 65/-
5. Handicapped - Exam fee NIL+ On-line processing fee Rs. 25/- Total = Rs. 25/-
6. Dependents of the - According to the original category mentioned from Sl. Nos. 1 to 4.

7.Ex-Serviceman - According to the original category mentioned from Sl. Nos. 1 to 4.
8. Women - According to the original category mentioned from Sl. Nos. 1 to 4.
